My art revolves around my childhood memories, culture and my love for nature and the untouched landscape. I work in a variety of media including painting, sculpture, printmaking and photography. The connecting feature is that each piece invites the viewer to understand bits and pieces about the artist and the work of art. One can find insights into a cultural Slavic background, a childlike innocence and a need for free space in the world with no obstructions.
I believe that it is the responsibility of the artist to invite the viewer into the work of art. For looking at art is reactive, liking art is subjective, and creating art is sublime. |
